Adube was on the local police wanted list. He was a murderer. People avoided him. He answered only to himself.
At 17 years old, Adube’s dad and stepmom had deserted him. His stepmom treated him as though he was a nuisance. As a leach of her husband’s inheritance! She hated and mistreated him, repeatedly denying him food. In frustration, Adube fled to the streets of Gulu, Uganda.
Already 17 when he joined the streets, Adube was placed as the leader. Being the oldest, he was consulted and highly respected as the master planner of robbery, violence, and drugs. Adube quickly stepped into this role, as a gang leader.

Violence and robbery were the ways of this street gang. Attacking to get what they needed. One time, a person they robbed died. As a result, Adube and his gang were caught and nearly beaten to death. Eventually, they could only move around at night. Some days they spent without food, nearly starving to death.
Another time, Adube and the gang stole from and strangled a man half to death on a motorbike. This made the whole community so angry! They were once again apprehended and horribly beaten.
Adube didn’t know what to do. He was so broken, his life had no purpose other than crime and survival. The entire community hated him and wanted nothing less than to see him dead! He was on wanted lists, and people knew if they saw him, to catch him and put him in prison.

He started hiding near a swamp, avoiding contact with the people whom he had robbed and hurt so badly. Scared, angry, homeless, alone, and with no dream for the future. He wondered why he was even alive. Why live if it’s just hatred and survival?
One day, a friend came and found him. He told Adube about the GIFT (God’s Institute for Transformation) children’s home where he could get help. His life could be changed, and he could learn about the truth of God! Adube was at his lowest point, he had no choice but to listen. Maybe there was a future for him, an education, maybe a chance at redemption from his horrible acts. What his friend was saying was too good to be true! Adube could hardly believe it!
He went to the GIFT Children’s Home and this started the change. He got discipleship training, Bible study, and trauma counseling. Adube learned what real freedom was, and started to learn about Jesus! He cried out and gave his heart to God in total repentance.

He heard that the GIFT children’s home was taking new young people in and he immediately responded and was accepted. He now was able to study, learn more about Jesus, and even got trained as a tractor operator!
Adube now says, 'To God be the glory I am still living, and my life has been transformed. If it was not for God and Favor I would have been killed by the mob who beat me for hurting those men…’

Our mission’s farmland is located on 272 acres of land in Gulu, Uganda, where Adube and the team are currently. Adube along with three other GIFT children are managing the farmland together!
As a result of their faithfulness, we have given them responsibility for the Favor Church on the farmland. The church has 250 members. During outreaches, Adube has even led 48 people to Jesus and saw 12 people healed from sickness! Now Adube has never stopped reaching out and preaching the Gospel within the community, along with his vocational work on the farm.

Each year we rescue boys and girls from the street. We enroll them in our GIFT children’s home and train them in the vocational training program. They learn skills such as farming, fishing, sowing, baking, and more! They meet Jesus and learn how to grow into the talents God has placed on the inside of them.
In addition to our Vocational Training program where we are training hundreds of GIFT children in practical life skills; We also provide Women’s Empowerment programs and Bible Distribution. Graduates of our 60-Day Portable Bible School are trained in village evangelism, and how to reach their nation with the Gospel. Just this year we have launched Portable Bible Schools in 450 locations across eight nations!
Today you can help us rescue even more children from the streets, teach them about Jesus and what He did for them, and train them in vocational life skills. Your gift today of $25, $50, $100, $500, or even more will rescue these young people’s lives. Lives that will be given hope and a future - forever changed!

If it wasn’t for people like you, where would Adube be today? Maybe he would’ve been left for dead where he was hiding, or worse, found and killed for his past! Without your help, so many precious young people across Africa won’t hear the truth of the Gospel. They won’t learn how much God loves them, and that He has great plans for their lives! That they can have a meaning and a purpose in Jesus.
This can’t happen without your help!
We love you so much and pray for you.
Thank you for taking part in this amazing work for the Kingdom of God!

P.S: With your help, we can see hundreds of precious young people completely transformed. Last year we saw 259 young people rescued and set on a new trajectory!
